Two people were killed and four others critically injured in a tragic road crash along Entebbe Road. The accident involved a taxi and a private vehicle. Preliminary reports indicate that the taxi driver lost control, leading to the head-on collision.

Nicole Foundation carried out a visit of the Entebbe Express Highway on 22nd June 2023 to evaluate potential locations for safety messages. The Express highway Manager (EGIS) and ICS Engineering participated in this reconnaissance visit. EGIS informed Nicole Foundation that they have submitted a communication proposal to Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) that includes signposts and billboards along the Entebbe Expressway and overhead bridges. The Foundation was given the option of choosing one of the three (3) bridges for a large billboard and the toll booths were recommended for seasonal messages.
