The Foundation in Partnership with Innovation village organized a hackathon to promote the use of technology to design programmes to curb road accidents. This Hackathon resulted in a pitch session where the judges selected the winning concept from Team Tassa. Team Tassa’s winning application is meant to facilitate accident reporting and speedy response after accidents using cameras installed in vehicles. The application monitors driver behavior and facial reactions and send the video footage to their back-end systems for analysis by Artificial Intelligence (AI) that will then send out alerts, notifications and messages if the driver is noticed to be exhausted, distracted or lost focus. Targeted customers are Fleet Owners & Managers and individuals one of whom is Tondekka. This Hackathon was concluded on 28th October 2022.
